Cruzer, tell us a little more about how you got into music!

I got into producing at 16.

I always loved listening to instrumentals a lot growing up & I had a strong passion when I would talk about producing.

One day I decided to give producing a start because I was always around people who did music and knew I was going to do something in music.

Once I started making beats I knew this was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life and decided to make this a career.

You are such a talented producer! Tell us more about your creative process when it comes to making music.

Thank you I really appreciate it a lot.

My process is unorthodox.

I’m always having a melody in my head.

I pull a lot of my beat production from playing video games, comic books, or just experiences in my life.

When I’m making beats I usually go on what’s around me physically.

If the presence in the air is calm, I’ll tend to make more mellow vibe.

If I’m out and about and see folks socializing I’ll get home and make something you can hear at a social event which usually tends to be more upbeat.

I’m really versatile in my sound and I’m always expanding my ear.

What would you say to aspiring producers who look up to your music?

Be yourself.

There’s only one version of you and everyone loves something new especially when they’re good.

Be genuine in everything you do.

That’s one of the biggest things that has gotten me to where I am today.

The final thing I’d say is there’s nothing wrong with having morals.

If you don’t want to do something politely decline it.

Most of the time people will respect that.

Do you have anything new or upcoming we can expect to see from you?

I just recently released my producer compilation “Cruzer 64” which has been a really huge success.

I have a new Lofi project called “Lofi Cruzin 2” which is just my own form of Lofi.

In February 2021, I’ll be releasing a new project called “Space Ronin” with Sean Nephew/Neff Nizzle out in France.

Overall I have a lot of things that are coming in the new year but those are all what’s locked in and ready to be released.
