Jake, tell us a little more about how you first got into music?
I first got introduced into writing music when I was in 7th grade.
I was friends with this kid in Science class who rapped, but I didn’t rap at this moment I actually just wrote rhymes.
Around freshman year I dropped my first song on a webcam and the whole school laughed at me, but I’m here now!
What does your creative process look like when it comes to making music?
Currently my creative process depends on where I am.
Sometimes, I play beats in my car and come up with hooks and try to find beats, a lot of the time I freestyle hooks and loop them up if I’m in the studio.
From there, I fill in the 12–16 bar verses as I go or send them off for features.
What would you say to any aspiring artists who look up to your work?
I would say I honestly appreciate every bit of support, or people who recognize me for my talents, or my hustles.
I would say just hit me up and we can talk about how I may be able to assist them with their career, maybe I can spread some knowledge.
Do you have anything new or upcoming we can expect to see from you?
I definitely have a bunch of features I have been cooking up.
I won’t go into detail on all of them, but most of the bigger records are about to drop.
There’s 5 of them for now.
I can announce the song with Dizzy Wright and there’s a cypher track about to drop with Jarren Benton.
There’s a track with Mike Jones.
